Hello there! I was born in Birmingham, Alabama where I was taught to say Roll Tide at an early age. I grew up in a Christian home, going to church every Sunday, Wednesday, tent meetings, revivals, the whole nine yards. At the age of four I remember asking some pretty deep questions about Heaven, Hell, the Devil, God and praying a prayer following the interrogation I put my mom through. I wrestled for years about my salvation, living in a constant fear of Hell rather than understanding the full Gospel. I lived a hard hat Identity, trying to appease God by closely monitoring my actions. It wasn't until college that I began to awaken to the realities of Luke 5:32, John 3:16-18, etc. The love of God settled an anxious heart and I began to see God's pursuit of me. There wasn't a moment where I walked an isle or prayed a prayer, but rather a progression and walking with Jesus. I saw my appetites and desires change from being consumed with fear and focused on self to delighting in submitting to Christ and walking in the power of His resurrection by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina with a bachelor's in Media Communication in December of 2014. After graduation I did a year long residency with my church and then went on to work for Clemson University as the Social Media Manager for the College of Business. Now, all of the football fans might remember reading above that I'm an Alabama fan and you just learned that I worked for Clemson University, and I could imagine you might be scratching your heads and wondering, "How does she feel about the recent upset Clemson gave the Crimson Tide?" Clemson deserved to win, and perhaps Alabama needed to be dethroned for their own good, but don't get me wrong I was upset. I'm happy for Clemson's win and the local community, but I'll be looking for Alabama to show up this coming season.
In January of 2018 I began sensing the time had come for me to transition out of Clemson. I began looking for jobs and preparing to move but I had no idea where I was headed. God was very specific and quickly opened all the doors to make the move to Atlanta and join the Blueprint staff as their Videographer/Photographer. I'm thankful to be in Atlanta and for the opportunity to join the Blueprint staff and family.
