TARA SCHLOSS

OPERATIONS & HOSPITALITY DIRECTOR, TITUS 2 WOMAN

My name is Tara and I'm the Operations Leader for Blueprint Church. It's my joy to work and serve our local body while stewarding the operations, facilities and finance pillars. You may also see me follow my passions by leading through city projects, Known 360, missions, and the ministry where I reside in the O4W.

I grew up in Southeast San Diego, CA, and had a radical conversion to faith in Jesus in college. My devotion has led to serving my King in the most amazing ways. Some of the ways I have seen Him transform lives has been through the International Mission School I attended for two years with living in two separate countries—Mexico and Tahiti. From practicum trips to starting a non-profit named That Funktion, many came to faith and were discipled through a church plant that started out of my home in 2010. I also really enjoyed leading a team in the juvenile hall girls detention center where we were able to assist in rehabilitating youth back into society for over six years. Between the years 2007 & 2013, the Lord blessed me with four treasures from heaven—Analyse, Izaiah, Victor and Josiah.

Due to tragedy & my world as I knew it falling apart, Dhati Lewis, who I knew through the Rebuild Initiative, challenged me to come to Atlanta. So I prayed and on July 31, 2016, I moved with my four angels and asked God for a miracle. I was only supposed to stay for a year, but God's plans prevailed over my own.

I have found the Lord to be more than just faithful and do far more than I could have asked during these last 4.5 years. Known 360 has really given me space to take brave risks to trust God and others while allowing myself to feel the weight of my pain but also the gift from it.

My ambition is to make Him known, to lay it all down for His glory, and serve with joy and hope as a response to the transforming work of the gospel.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

The person who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence indeed is the Lord, is blessed. He will be like a tree planted by water: it sends its roots out toward a stream, it doesn't fear when heat comes, and it's foliage remains green. It will not worry in a year of drought or cease producing fruit.
